Is Marissa Mayer in the doghouse?

From this cat's point of view, she should be. Yes, I agree face-to-face communication and impromptu hallway meetings are certainly a good thing. I too enjoy meaningful face time with my humans every day. But a mandate that Yahoo employees can no longer work virtually - seems rather old-fashioned for a company that lives in the virtual world.

Ms. Mayer claims speed and quality are sacrificed? Many of my best ideas are conceived at home during bath time. In fact, it's proven that great ideas are developed at this time. And I don't think you want me licking my privates in the office do you? Just look at examples of successful people who prefer to work outside the office, like Richard Branson. He prefers to work in a hammock. Yes, he's got the right idea. To quote the Huffington Post, it looks like Yahoo just took a big chance.

I don't think many Yahoo employees will be yelling 'Yahoo' for this memo. What do you all think?

The Art Of Being Catty.

There's an art to being catty. It takes a rare breed to pull it off. And it's what makes those of us who can so appealing. Just look at the catty Dowager Countess of Downton Abbey. All of the other characters are likened to dogs. But only the Countess could be a cat. The instant her witty catty remarks are out of her mouth, her fans can't wait to share them.

I'd like to say that if you want more fans, just be more catty. But it's not that easy. It takes a special kind of wit. You need to be subtle and indirect, otherwise you'll just end up being seen as a female dog, more known as a bitch.

Just look at the difference in this year's Golden Globe with the biting wit of Tina and Amy compared to the rude insults of Ricky. Even his clever British accent didn't help him. So if you want to add some cattiness to your image, it's best to hang out with a cat and take a lesson from the old masters.

Posting Cat Photos Is Good For Your Health.

It’s true. Well that’s my theory. But researchers have recently proved that the act of posting even a simple status update makes you feel more connected and less lonely. Getting ‘likes’ or ‘comments’ doesn’t appear to make much of a difference. Even posting what you ate for dinner is good for your well-being. (I had shredded tuna in a savory broth by the way.) They call it ‘social snacking’. Quick tidbits to satisfy a feeling of emptiness. And who doesn’t love that. I graze on tasty tidbits all day long. So go ahead, repost my photo. I guarantee it’ll be very satisfying.
